Christmas Carol Blog Hop


Every year the Studio Designers gather together to “sing Christmas Carols” with festive carol-themed mini kits. Put on your dancing shoes & singing voices and come caroling with us! Welcome to the Studio’s Annual Christmas Carol Blog Hop. Every year the Studio Designer’s gather together to “Sing Christmas Carols” to all of our members, customers, fans & friends. 

It’s a way for us all to say Merry Christmas and a big Thank You for being so supportive of us! Each participating Designer has chosen a special Christmas Carol just for you and designed an adorable freebie around it! So put on your dancing shoes & singing voices and come caroling with us!

 I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be able to participate this year! I chose "To Drive the Cold Winter Away" for my carol. I have seen so many gorgeous minis for this hop, that I decided to make you all a couple of templates. Best of both worlds, right?

Annual The Studio's New Designer Challenge and FREE kit

I joined the Annual New Designer Challenge (Competition) at The Studio this year. There will be a new "challenge" every week. Also every week 10 + people are voted out of the competition, much like Survivor. It has been both exciting and terrifying at the same time! Please vote for me and help me WIN! What I make every week is a FREE download  for YOU and at the end of the month should be an entire kit once it is all put together. Week 1 was papers. Week 2 was elements. This week, Week 3, I made an Add On, Word Arts. You may have to sign up to The Studio to vote, but that is free also. Next Designer Contest Round Two!

Round 2 Voting for the Studio's NDC is up!

I love those slow mornings where the sun and the clouds dance a bit. You might read the paper while pounding in your pjs or sip your favorite morning beverage after a very brief sojourn into the backyard to grab some flowers to nestle into an old bottle you found in your cupboard that will give the  table a bit of a happy glow. Just relax. You don't have any plans this morning anyway. 

That's the theme of my mini-kit this round. It's called "Slow Morning".

Snuggle Up, Baby It's Cold Outside Kit Freebie

 It is, and has been so cold here! Mornings have often been in the teens. Every time any of us leaves the house we pile on the layers, snuggle into our favorite sweaters and coats and rub our cheeks against our softest scarves hoping to keep some of the chill away! 
 I think I have seen more snowflakes this year than any other year. Big, fat, fluffy ones, small, quickly spiraling ones, blowing sideways snowflakes, and snowflakes mixed with freezing rain. I don't like those! Add to the snowflakes the inevitability that Valentine's Day is fast approaching and I am beginning to wonder if all of our candy hearts will be frozen this year. 

Instead of a traditional Valentine's Day kit, I thought I would make you a "Let's Enjoy Valentine's Day at Home Because It's Too Cold To Go Outside" themed kit.  Think of being snuggled up and drinking something hot. Pulling out that blanket that Granny made because it has the perfect cozy feel and watching the snow fall against the darkness of the night, while listening to the fireplace crackle and spark across the room. Whether you have snow day pictures, curled up together on the couch pictures, or even family afternoon winter fun pictures, this kit will work for you! 

It's a rather large it, so it is broken up into TWO DOWNLOADS. The elements/embellishments are one download and the papers are another.

Day 11 Holiday Whimsey Giveaway 12 Days of Christmas

So this is the last of my pieces. I won't lie; I am a little tearful. I really enjoyed making this kit for you guys! It was so wonderful making this kit with my daughter, Caitlin and my daughter in law, April. 
This was truly a labor of love.
