So this is the last of my pieces. I won't lie; I am a little tearful. I really enjoyed making this kit for you guys! It was so wonderful making this kit with my daughter, Caitlin and my daughter in law, April. 

This was truly a labor of love.

Day 9 of Holiday Whimsey Giveaway 12 Days of Christmas

By now you all may be wondering....why on earth would these two small time designers choose to collaborate on a freebie Christmas scrapbooking kit. On Day 7, I shared that my teenage daughter, Caitlin chose to get involved with this kit. 

The connection is that April of LyllahRaven Designs is my daughter in law! She loved what she saw after I began scrapbooking and designing and decided that she couldn't be left out of the fun! She's married to my oldest son, and mother to five (yes, FIVE) of my grand children. 

April has been like one of my own children for about 10 years now. She and my son lived with us in the beginning while he finished his phlebotomy training. I was her doula when she gave birth the first few times.
So as you can now see, the Holiday Whimsey collaboration has literally been a family collaboration!
So from my family to yours...

I thought I'd see if I could made Mrs. Claus from the "Stan and Stella" kit that my friend, LilyAnn

with A Fish Design made. I was SO EXCITED at how she turned out that I asked my fans if 

she needed to be a part of the Holiday Whimsey giveaway.

Day 7 of Holiday Whimsey 12 Days of Christmas

Oh my gosh, Day 7!! Day 7 is ESPECIALLY fun!

So there I was working on this kit, and my daughter, Caitlin, (who is a super talented artist) came and sat next to me and she said, "Mom, I want to work on this kit with you." It brought tears to my eyes. What was it they said in the old Christmas cartoon, "And his heart grew ten sizes that day?" She has never shown any interest in my scrapbooking or style of digital art. At 17, she's her own person and I am so proud of who she has become. This meant a lot to me though.

So Caitlin designed this piece. She drew it. She chose what should be which color and texture. All I did was make it work. Today's part of Holiday Whimsey is subtitled:

Holiday Whimsey Day 5 of 12 Days of Christmas

On the fifth day of Christmas, Janece gave to me....

This is the smallest piece of Holiday Whimsey. I almost didn't include some of these bits at all. Then at the last minute I said, "Nope. I made them. I'm sharing them anyhow." It's not that I don't like them. I really do. I just wasn't sure they fit with this kit. So, do I share them now or....

Or leave them on my computer to forget why I saved them. lol 

Except for one. Can you guess which it is? It's a preview of one of the days to come.

Okay, so the 12 Days of Christmas collaboration kit giveaway. Here is how it will work. 

Sort of like an advent calendar, but just for 12 days. You can't SEE the piece. 

Not until you download it and open it anyway. Just like a Christmas gift! :) 

Every day, December 1st through

December 12th, you will visit either my blog or April's at LyllahRaven Designs. 

Every day one of us will post a new piece of the kit. 12 pieces total. 

This is a HUGE KIT. We each worked on our parts separately, but we also worked on the kit 

together as a team so hopefully you have plenty of everything. I know that my part has approximately 

50 elements and 30 papers. I just kept adding so the numbers kept changing! 

This kit was so much fun and I cannot wait to see you guy enjoy it!
