"Vintage" Blog Train

While doing this train, the first thing that I discovered is that "vintage" means different things to different people. To me, it evokes thoughts of days when women saved and re-sewed scraps into blankets and everything was quilted because sometimes the fire went out during the night.

I did this blog train around the same time as the "Giving Thanks" one. My first trains done while recovering with my shoulder. I loved working again, but I overdid and didn't get to work for 3 days! 

Okay, lesson learned...*I* am apparently "Vintage" enough that I need to go more slowly as I continue to recover! Enjoy the mini and don't forget to head over to my Facebook page to pick up more elements that go along with the kit!

Come Celebrate DSD Weekend and SNP's 2nd Anniversary!

It's the second anniversary at SNP and it's DSD weekend! Can I get a WHOOT?!! They have planned a super fun weekend for you! The customers and designers are some of the best people in digi and we are so very excited to have each of you actively involved in our community! You have no idea how you've touched our lives and how much we enjoy chatting with you and looking at your layouts. There is something wonderful about SNP. It's the friendships we create. It's the way our stories intertwine with those of the people we've never met in real life. It's people from all over the world uniting in this wonderful way that helps us to capture those small moments in time that make up the stories of our lives. Nowhere else can you find such an awesome group of people who work and create so closely to build such an amazing community for all of us to feel at home in. This weekend we are celebrating each and every one of you be{You}tiful people. The challenges and chats are centered around getting to know you better. We hope you'll join us this weekend as we strengthen our friendships and our community. I'm sure there will be a lot of laughter and of course they've created a Be{You}tiful collection of goodies for you that you won't want to miss. There is a fabulous facebook hop where you can collect 25 be{You}tiful templates and they wouldn't dare celebrate their anniversary or DSD without an awesome store wide sale! There will be 3 live events each day (with the exception of Thursday when there will be only 1) where we can meet in the chat room and get a little crazy (or a lot crazy for some of us...but I'm not naming any names!). There will be prizes awarded at each live event so be sure to be there on time! We'll also have 2 challenges for you each day where you can earn the pieces to a HUGE collab (We're talking 96 Papers, 82 Journal Cards, 190 Ellies and a full alpha!!)! "Rivals" A New Release by Amy's Designs

Amy's Designs has released a new kit, Rivals. In case you can't tell, Amy is an Alabama girl. An Auburn Alabama girl to be exact. So it's no surprise that this kit is close to her heart with the Auburn Tigers and Crimson Roll Tide being big rivals. With such a specific theme, you might think this kit isn't versatile, but it is. You could make a zoo layout with the tigers, eagles, and elephants. You could make a sports layout with the various sports elements. SNP October Blog Train

Choo! Choo! All Aboard!! The Scraps-N-Pieces Blog Train is ready to leave the station: 

This month the train is called "Just Be"

I think that each of us is unique, and beautiful and have something wonderful to share. 

This is perfect for October, a month of awareness. Breast Cancer Awareness...Domestic Violence Awareness...it made me think that each of us should reach out with our own unique gifts and just give, just try, just be.

Castin' My Spell

A wonderful collaboration of Halloween fun that LilyAnn, from A Fish Design, is anxious to tell you about!

Crescent Moon Designs (Charly) and I teamed up to bring to you "Castin' My Spell."  These kits have a gorgeous Halloween color palette of orange, purple, green, blue and black.  And if you don't celebrate Halloween, there is enough "extras" to scrap just about anything.
